Green from Script to Screen presents a Climate Storytelling panel Dublin International Film Festival on February 26 2026.

Green from Script to Screen, an initiative founded by Elaine Walsh and Daragh Goan, presents the second of their two events as part of DIFF’s commitment to showcasing sustainable practice in filmmaking all the way through from concept to the closing credits.

Taking place at 2pm on February 26 2026 at Haymarket House, Smithfield, the panel discussion is designed to explore the practice of integrating eco-consciousness into screenwriting and storytelling from the beginning of the filmmaking journey, continuing this ethos all the way through production.

Hear from climate storytelling leaders like Climate Spring founder and producer Lucy Stone, writer/director/actor Elham Ehsas, Professor Quentin Crowley and novelist Caoillinn Hughes who will be speaking about what the future of the planet and the green turn within the industry might hold.

This event will also include a screening of Elham Ehsas’ short film, There Will Come Soft Rains.

I'm excited to announce that I'm joining the judging panel of The Regional Creatives Fund Ireland, a new programme offering grants of up to €20,000 to Irish charities that develop creative industry career pathways. The Regional Creatives Fund, created by Amazon, aligns with Ireland's Creative Industries Roadmap and the Creative Communities initiative, aiming to increase access to careers in the creative industries for people from underrepresented backgrounds across all of Ireland.

We're encouraging applications from organisations that help people from underrepresented backgrounds or underserved communities access careers in publishing, music, gaming, film, TV, fashion, podcasting, visual arts, and more. The fund is open for applications from registered charities that are currently running impactful skills projects and are seeking additional funding to scale, sustain, or innovate their efforts.

Eligible organisations can apply for funding across three categories: small-scale enhancement (€1,000-€5,000), moderate expansion (€5,000-€12,000), or strategic growth (€12,000-€20,000), depending on their project's scale and ambition.
