Members from our Tullamore, Roscrea and Clane centres were delighted to take part in the Laois Inclusive Games last week in celebration of inclusive sport and as part of the organisation’s 25th anniversary celebrations

The players really enjoyed the Boccia competition and meeting friends from other centres. Safe to say plenty of chats and laughter were had.

Our Roscrea members were thrilled to reach the final while the four participants from Clane – Agneiska, Leah, John and Phillipe were very happy with Leah and Phillipe winning Gold and Agneiska and John Bronze. Needless to say great celebrations were had this week following their brilliant wins.

A huge thanks to all involved in organising the event which really was a fantastic experience and hopefully will be held again next year.

IWA Carlow was delighted to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its centre and to have a book launch for its members on Wednesday. 📖 🥂

It was a gorgeous day from start to finish. Members shared stories about the centre over the years and spoke about the special moments they've had along the way.

Members of the Carlow creative writing group were also joined by local author Lissa Oliver for the launch of their latest collection of work, and some even read extracts from their stories and shared poems with those gathered.

What a great day recently at the Game of Throne Studio Tour which our Lucan group really enjoyed.
The whole experience was really accessible and easy to get around, which made the day even more enjoyable.
There’s plenty to keep members entertained, whether you’re a die-hard Game of Thrones follower or just enjoy seeing how a TV series is brought to life.
A brilliant day out and definitely somewhere they would recommend visiting — especially if you’re a fan of the show! 👑🐺🔥

They enjoyed seeing farm animals as well as a huge selection of animals such as snakes, jaguar, parrots and some bold monkeys and donkeys!
The location is beautiful and it was fully accessible. A fantastic, entertaining, fun filled day out was had.
