Workers’ AI Counter Summit - a look back!

Over two days, workers, activists, researchers and artists came together in Dublin to discuss AI and ask a crucial question: who gets to shape the future of AI?

The summit created a space for workers to discuss AI, its impacts on workers and society and allowed them a voice in this conversation.

Workers must have a say in the future of AI.

CWU Head of Organising, Fionnuala Ní Bríogáin, speaking at the International AI Summit 2026 in Dublin, highlights the impact of AI on workers.

AI is transforming workplaces, but decisions about how it is developed and implemented cannot be left to employers and tech companies alone. Workers deserve a seat at the table, and collective bargaining must be central to ensuring AI works for people, not just for profit.

The future of work must be shaped with workers, not imposed on them.

The Workers’ AI Counter Summit is almost here!

Join us on the 10th and 11th of October at CWU Headquarters, where workers, trade unionists, academics, artists, and activists will come together to discuss AI, the impact it has on the workplace and wider society.

Across two days, we’ll hear from a brilliant line-up, including:
