2nd NATIONAL CONFERENCE – HIGHLIGHTS

Migrant Nurses Ireland successfully concluded its 2nd National Conference, bringing together migrant nurses, delegates, professional organisations, government representatives, An Garda Síochána, diplomatic representatives and other stakeholders.

✨ Key Highlights

🔹 Conference Theme: “Addressing the Increasing Incidents of Racial Violence Affecting Migrant Nurses”

🔹 Powerful Panel Discussion on racial violence, hate crime, workplace discrimination, reporting mechanisms and support for victims.

🔹 All Conference Motions received unanimous support from delegates.

🔹 Democratic Leadership Elections: A new national leadership was elected, including the Central Committee, which was democratically elected by the delegates.

🔹 High-level participation from the Minister for Health, INMO, An Garda Síochána, NMBI, Indian Embassy and international nursing representatives.

🔹 MNI Magazine officially launched – another milestone in documenting and communicating the voice and contribution of migrant nurses.

🔹 Outstanding multinational cultural programme, celebrating the diversity and talents of our nursing community.

🔹 Contributions to the nursing fraternity recognised and celebrated.

The day will also feature an exciting programme of entertainment, including performances by For the Record band, featuring a mix of Irish and Filipino singers, as well as a special Indian classical dance performance.
