Presidential Handover at South Dublin Chamber’s AGM today

A highlight of this year’s Annual General Meeting was the formal handover of the Chain of Office. Our outgoing President Thomas Stone, TU Dublin - Tallaght Campus, presented the Chain of Office to incoming President Andrea Clarke of Coyne Solicitors, symbolising the transfer of responsibility, leadership and service.

Following the handover, the outgoing and incoming Presidents were photographed together, commemorating the occasion and recognising the continuity and strength of the organisation’s leadership.

We extend our sincere thanks to the outgoing President Thomas Stone for his dedicated service and leadership throughout the past two years and wish President Andrea Clarke every success during the year ahead.

Corporate Members Meeting in Dáil Éireann

With our Corporate Members we had a meeting in Dáil Éireann Houses of the Oireachtas with Sinn Féin our largest opposition party. The meeting with Sinn Féin was very important as it allows us to engage directly with the party leader and key spokespeople. An Cosán are currently looking to partner with employers both locally and nationwide to help facilitate our learners in gaining valuable work placements as required by their course of study with us. In addition to our Tallaght facility, we also have hubs in Sligo and Wexford Town and are hoping to expand further in the near future. Hosting an adult learner on a work placement can be an enriching experience not just for the learner but for the organisation providing the placement also. This can be an in person, remote or hybrid placement of 30/40 hours total. There is great opportunity for mentorship and growth for the host employer and their employees as well as working towards fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility goals.
If you are interested in partnering with An Cosán or know of any potential partner please feel free to contact Alanna @ [email protected]
