A massive thank you to Toast.org, who have been incredible supporters of Little Flower Penny Dinners over the past number of years.

Their support has come in many forms from generous financial donations and fundraising initiatives to helping us secure funding towards our electric Meals-on-Wheels van in 2024.

Most recently, the team has once again supported us with a donation towards our National Food Bank Day Campaign. Long-term support like this makes an enormous difference to a small charity like ours and helps us continue providing meals and assistance to people in our community.

Thank you to everyone at Toast.org for continuing to stand behind Little Flower Penny Dinners.

🌹 Happy Feast Day of St. Thérèse of Lisieux. 🌹

St. Thérèse, widely known as “The Little Flower”, was a French Carmelite nun whose simple message of love, kindness, humility and trust has inspired people around the world.

She is also the patron of Little Flower Penny Dinners and the inspiration behind our charity’s name. Today is a lovely opportunity to remember her life and her belief that even the smallest acts, when carried out with love, can make a difference.

You can learn more about St. Thérèse and read a collection of her quotes on our website: https://www.littleflower.ie/our-patron-st-therese-of-lisieux

You may have recently been contacted by us about the Charitable Donation Scheme.
Under the scheme, eligible charities can claim tax relief on qualifying donations of €250 or more made by an individual during a calendar year.

For Little Flower Penny Dinners, this means your original donation could potentially be worth even more to our charity, at no additional cost to you. For example, a qualifying donation of €250 could result in Little Flower receiving an additional tax refund, increasing the overall value of your support.

If we have contacted you about completing the relevant form, we would be very grateful for your help. Every additional euro helps us continue providing meals and support to people in need.

St. Thérèse of Lisieux has inspired many communities around the world, including our own charity and a number of churches here in Dublin.

Our friends at St. Teresa’s Church on Donore Avenue, Dublin 8, are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year and will host a special Triduum in honour of St. Thérèse, reflecting on her life, spirituality and her beautiful “Little Way” of love and trust in God. 🌹

The Triduum will take place on Tuesday 29th September, Wednesday 30th September and Thursday 1st October. Each evening will begin with quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament from 4.00pm to 5.30pm, with an opportunity for Reconciliation, followed by Mass at 6.00pm.
