Hi All

We met with the DCC Architect team. They showed us the plans for the deep retro fit for the flats and we provided our feedback.

There is an open day in PARC from 2pm - 5pm on the 11th of June. This will be your chance to ask questions and provide suggestions and have your say on the proposed works.

As decanting is actively happening we would encourage residents to engage with DCC through the Wednesday clinic in PARC.

For your information
Project:
• Funding approved April’26.
• Decanting has begun as of April’26.
• DCC encouraging residents to start applying for CBLs (choice base lettings) in their chosen areas.
• Builder to be nominated in Sept/Oct ’26.

Decanting:
• Block L will have priority only at this stage. This will filter to other blocks as the works continue i.e. M&N and then P.
• A letter of comfort will be given to residents who are decanted, subject to their needs. i.e. if you leave and 2 bed and moved to a 3 bed, you will be staying in the new home which suits your needs.
• Residents will only return to their same home if it suits their needs.

• Any resident who applies for a CBL outside of Block L and are successful will not be returning to Pearse House as part of the decanting at this stage.

• We would encourage residents to attend these clinics.
• DCC will work with everyone to progress the d

• Children living with their parents and have their own application for housing will not gain a home in their own right. They will have to stay on their parent’s application, otherwise they will find themselves in an overcrowded situation as DCC will only assess on the main tenant’s application needs.
• Residents in under occupied homes would be given homes to suit their needs. This may result in downsizing.
• DCC will work with everyone to achieve the best outcome for all.
