We have just received a message from Elli in SONAS;

In the next week or so there will be more traffic coming to and from the site than normal. This will only last approximately 5 days, as they bring material out of the site. They estimate 15 lorries a day. They will be carrying out road sweeps to clean up after themselves.
I have reminded them about parking within the compound, and if this is not possible, not on the road outside the site. There have been new personnel and they have now taken this on board. I have asked them to park outside of the estate entirely, or on the other side of the road from the resource centre. This is for a limited time. They should be back within the compound soon.

The steering group met with DLR architects and held a constructive dialogue today, Wednesday, 6/5/26. Further amendments are to be made to the drawings to align with the community needs and in compliance with fire safety and accessibility regulations.

Hi All, just a reminder that the update meeting is this Wednesday. March 4th at 7pm: to update residents on the progress of the building works of the Sonas Women's Shelter. Please note this meeting is for updates on building progress only.
All are welcome to attend.

Upcoming Public Meetings in the centre:

Tuesday, March 3rd at 7pm: a meeting will be held to explore the possibility of starting a men's shed in the area; all are welcome to attend.

Wednesday, March 4th at 7pm: Meeting to update residents on the progress of the building works of the Sonas Women's Shelter. Please note this meeting is for updates on building progress only.
All are welcome to attend.

We are in the process of organising a public meeting with the Community Garda on the subject of Household Security and Anti-social behaviour.

Centre refurbishment update:
Last week, we had an on-site visit from the architects and Civil engineers from DLR COCO re our centre refurbishment. We are currently awaiting the report of this meeting. While the process is slow, it is constantly moving forward. We will issue any further updates when we can.

Kilcross Estate Management was delighted to hold the annual light up the estate for Christmas. We also had a visit from the big man himself, Santa, who was delighted to see all the boys and girls. Thanks to JP Ward & Sons for supplying santas transport and our local community guard for his es**rt. Wishing all the residents a Very Happy Christmas and all the very best for 2026.

Kilcross Estate Management is holding the light up the Estate for Christmas on Saturday, 20th December at 5 p.m., starting at the entrance of the Estate. There will be a visit from the big man himself, Santa, for all the children. Please come along and join in the festivities. There will be tea, coffee and goodies in the Resource Centre afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
