Hypocritical quote from Cllr Kay Keane regarding the situation in Citywest, and yet she had an opportunity with her party colleagues to leave Tallaght Village parking, but decided to put plants before people.
Let's tell the cancer patient and the pensioner who live in Tallaght Village that she "understands your frustration "but chooses to vote for the Part 8.
Especially with the Bus Connects mess, where now people have to get two to three buses to get to their destination
"Cllr Kay Keane said she understands the frustrations of residents and said from her perspective, the issue is that the public transport infrastructure is not good enough for people to be able to ditch their cars.
“I’m in People Before Profit, okay? I would love to see people getting out of their cars, using the bike lane, cycling. But I’m a realist as well.
“I know people, some people do need their cars, for example, if they have mobility issues, if they have a child with special needs, they need a car to get from A to B.
“At this stage, something needs to be done,” she said."
Despite mounting national scrutiny on poor transport connectivity in new housing developments, the government has taken no action.
