Tallaght Village Network is delighted and honoured to have been nominated in the Tallaght Person of the Year Awards, in the Sgt Andrew Callanan Community category.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to nominate us. This recognition means a great deal to all of us who care so deeply about Tallaght Village and its future.

Tallaght is more than just a place on a map. It is a living village, with a rich history, a strong sense of community and generations of residents who have called it home. Its character, heritage, local businesses and the people who bring it to life every day are what make it so special.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank the residents and local businesses who have come together to pursue the judicial review through the courts. Their commitment reflects the importance they place on Tallaght Village, its history and its future as a place where community life continues to thrive.

Tallaght Village Network was formed because people care about this village and believe its unique character is worth protecting. We are proud to stand alongside those who share that commitment.

Thank you again for the nomination, and to everyone who has offered support, encouragement and solidarity along the way. It means more than you know. ❤️

Well done to the Tallaght Village Network for having the courage to fight for our Village. TVN are trying to put to right a bad plan from SDCC which was forced upon our Village . And which was further reinforce by 22 Cllr.
It takes a lot of resilience for a community group to stand up against a major local government decision, especially when they are up against an approved plan backed by South Dublin County Council (SDCC) and a large majority of local councillors. We are proud of you for putting Tallaght Village first .

Tallaght Village Network Granted Leave to Proceed with Judicial Review

Jacqueline Kelly, Chairperson of Tallaght Village Network, has confirmed that Mr Justice Humphreys has granted the Network leave to proceed with a judicial review of South Dublin County Council’s Tallaght Village Enhancement Scheme.

The decision marks an important step forward for the residents and members of the local community who have come together to challenge the scheme and seek to protect the interests of Tallaght Village.Jacqueline Kelly said:

"This is a significant moment for Tallaght Village Network and everyone who has supported our efforts. We are grateful to the residents, local businesses and community members who have stood with us throughout this process.

"Our village is a place with a rich history and a strong community. We believe it is important that the voices and concerns of those who live and work here are heard and properly considered.

"We will continue to keep our supporters and the wider community informed as the process progresses. As the matter is now before the courts, we will not be commenting further on the legal proceedings at this time."

Video from June. The council called the village a rat run but as you see from the video there is no evidence of that .

Cllr. Adam Smyth - Tallaght is proud to announce 7.5 million investment in a bad design for Tallaght Village. A design that will isolate residents who include pensioners and cancer patients from having their relatives or friends visit them. A design that will impact their mental health.
A design that will have a detrimental effect on the business in the village. A design that is not inclusive and will physically divide the village into two half's with no driving access between both . Cllr Adam Smyth should be ashamed of the part he played in this debacle along with Cllr Jess Spear Cllr Niamh Whelan Sinn Féin.

Delighted to see today Tallaght village receive €7.5m from the Towns and cities Regeneration Investment Fund

Issues with parking and now no parking for their visitors. That is the same that is proposed for Tallaght Village . The residents will be living in isolation with no where for residents or visitors to park. The councillors that voted this part 8 through should hang your head in shame .

There have been calls for the government to conduct a national review of residential parking rules.

Another Village been torn apart by Bus Connect and the local authority. Why have they got no cop on? Why do the local Councillors ignore the people who voted them in?

The letting of this premises has fallen through . The premises are back up for letting on the auctioneers website . Perhaps the potential business evaluated the passing of the Part 8 Tallaght Village Enhancement scheme and decided that this plan would negatively impact and damage their business
