Supporting doctors since 1842
The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund Society of Ireland (RMBFS) was founded in 1842 in the Royal College of Surgeons by Dr. William Kingsley and Dr Robert Graves to help support the doctors and their families. Its aim was to financially assist doctors resident in Ireland and their families including non-adult children. The generations of doctors involved in the society since then have kept to its original objective.
Our aim is that no doctor or their family resident in Ireland will suffer the consequences of severe financial pressure. Since 1842, we have provided financial assistance to over 1,000 doctors and their families.
With your help, we can continue to financially assist doctors when they need it most. This is an organization of doctors for doctors. If you or your colleague are facing financial difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us to see how we can be of assistance.
