We believe in quiet work like planting today for a shade we may never sit under ourselves.

Last year at our Miyawaki planting in Greystones, one of the volunteers was Andrea who showed up, dug in, and carried something home with her: an idea.

She built .app a beautiful, free tool that lets you log your plantings on a living map, track how trees survive over time, and identify native species around you. ๐ŸŒฟ This is a tool for monitoring reforestation projects in three regions: the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands, and the British Isles. It includes official datasets with protected, introduced, and native species.

If you planted with us, we'd love for you to give it a try and tell us what you think. Every piece of feedback helps shape something built by the community, for the community.

No app store needed. Just open reforesta.dehesa.dev on your phone, tap the three dots, and add it to your Home Screen.

National Volunteer Week 2026: Recognition Event by Wicklow Volunteer Centre

From the stunning walled garden tour to the beautiful at Russborough House, a lovely lunch, and gorgeous grounds to explore. It was the most wonderful, relaxing day. Exactly what the soul needed!

It was so lovely to meet fellow volunteers: the quiet, dedicated, unsung heroes who give their time so generously to make a real difference. Every single one of you is truly inspiring. ๐Ÿ’š

And the gorgeous goodiesโ€ฆ what a thoughtful touch! We are truly, truly grateful.

Community Clean-Up Day - Done & Dusted! ๐ŸŒฟ

What an incredible afternoon with our amazing team of 15 volunteers coming together to make our neighbourhood a little greener and cleaner! ๐Ÿ’š

Despite the cloudy skies, spirits were high and hands were busy. We were worried will have no rubbish. We filled a lot of bags and even went back for more!

A huge shoutout to every single person who showed up, got their hands dirty, and made today happen. This is what community looks like. Big thanks to for continuous support๐ŸŒโœจ

๐ŸŒฟ Nagar Kirtan (Sikh Parade) | Dublin** ๐ŸŒฟ

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh ๐Ÿ™

We are humbled to once again take to the streets, walking together, side by side, as one community.

Nagar Kirtan is a peaceful procession rooted in the Sikh tradition, where we walk through the streets together in a spirit of joy, gratitude, and openness โ€” welcoming all who wish to join. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

This year, we will be handing out seed balls along the way. A small, simple gift, but one that carries a quiet hope. Plant them in your garden, a window box, or a patch of soil somewhere. Watch something grow. ๐ŸŒฑ

This day is about people coming together, sharing something, and leaving a little goodness behind.

We warmly welcome everyone, no matter where you're from or what you believe. The more the merrier. Come walk with us, take a seed ball home, and let's grow something beautiful โ€” together. ๐Ÿ’›

Exploring Traditions together

Happy Vaisakhi! ๐ŸŒพ

From the fields of Punjab to the green fields of Ireland, today we honour the land and the people who care for it.
Vaisakhi began as a harvest festival and, for Sikhs, marks the creation of the Khalsa in 1699, a community built on courage, equality, and seva (selfless service).

That same spirit lives on in how we treat our planet: planting trees, protecting nature, and standing in solidarity with *farmers* here in Ireland and around the world. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐ŸŒณ

Wishing everyone a joyful and reflective Vaisakhi.
