Our amazing volunteers were out tonight doing what they do best. They completed the work they commenced last week.

The rain could not deter these wonderful people playing a massive part in keeping Kilnamanagh (our home) "Clean and Green".

Yet again we have to ask people to help them. Kilnamanagh is a very large area and each and everyone of us benefit from Kilnamanagh looking as good as it does.

Keeping Kilnamanagh looking this good is not easy and we owe it to these people to show our support. While it is great to see the words of encouragement on Facebook as the old saying goes "actions speak louder than words".

Send us a DM and we can contact you so you can play your own part in keeping Kilnamanagh (our home) "Clean and Green".

Our thanks go out to SDCC and our elected councillors.

Our "solar powered" volunteers were out tonight doing what they do best. Another part of Kilnamanagh (our home) received the "Clean and Green" treatment.

These people epitomise community spirit, but they need your help to keep Kilnamanagh looking as good as it does. Why not drop along and give a hand out you won't regret how good you will feel. Drop us a DM for details.

As ever it is important that everyone play their part in keeping Kilnamanagh "Clean and Green".

Again we must reiterate there is no arrangement in place with SDCC to collect any items dumped around Kilnamanagh. All items dumped is illegal dumping and SDCC is monitoring the area and will issue on the spot fines or utilise confidential reports to identify and prosecute offenders.

A word of thanks go to SDCC and our elected councillors who provide ongoing support behind the scene.

Can you help? We have secured some hi vis bibs and we are looking to put our logo and name on them.

Do you know anywhere reasonable who could help them?

If yes please send us a DM and we can contact you.

Remember we can all play a part in keeping Kilnamanagh (our home) "Clean and Green"

Enjoy the fabulous weather.

The "Clean and Green" volunteers were out tonight giving the entrance to Kilnamanagh (our home) from the Cuckoo's nest the once over.

The volunteers put in a huge effort but as ever they are renewing their call for additional support.

While it is great to see the positive comments and likes on Facebook we need people to show up and play a part in keeping Kilnamanagh "Clean and Green".

Kilnamanagh has a wide mix of residents of every age and those who are still physically able and young enough owe it to the older generation who when they were younger volunteered in laying the foundation for how Kilnamanagh looks now.

We need help.

Thanks go to SDCC and our elected councillors.

Our volunteers were out in force tonight giving their "Clean and Green" magic to the entrance into Kilnamanagh (our home) from the Luas.

The energy, commitment and community spirit these people show has encouraged another resident Mr Norbert Olwill of Redwood to play his part in keeping Kilnamanagh (our home) " Clean and Green". Remember we can all play our part in keeping Kilnamanagh (our home) "Clean and Green".

We want to extend our thanks and that of the residents of Kilnamanagh for Mr Olwills cleaning of all the name rocks in the area. You may have noticed the name rocks look amazing. In the coming weeks the writing on the name rocks will also receive a freshen up.

To Mr Olwill we want to say a big thank you.

Thanks also go out to SDCC and our elected councillors for their continued support.

Is there any stopping these volunteers. The entrance to Kilnamanagh (our home) at the Greenhills Rd entrance received the "Clean and Green" treatment tonight.

As ever we need your support to keep Kilnamanagh (our home) "Clean and Green". We urgently need more volunteers. Kilnamanagh is a very large area and it is disappointing to only see the same small group of volunteers each week. Please help us, we need you.

Our thanks on behalf of all residents of Kilnamanagh goes to SDCC and our elected councillors both of whom assist in keeping Kilnamanagh "Clean and Green".

Residents for your information and consideration.

🚨 IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ & SHARE 🚨

South Dublin County Council is looking for public input on a major planning proposal that will directly impact our area, are aware of it? Please read below.

This is part of the “City Edge” project, a large-scale plan to transform areas like Naas Road, Ballymount and Park West — including land right up to the other side of the M50 from us — from industrial use into major residential development.

📢 Why this matters to YOU:
This isn’t happening in isolation. When you combine this with:

The planned developments along the Belgard Road,

Current status in relation to agricultural lands known locally as Whitehall and formerly the Green Belt associated with Hibernia REIT

…it paints a very clear picture:
👉 There is going to be significant building and change happening all around us.

We all need to start thinking about:

Traffic and congestion 🚗

Pressure on schools, services and amenities 🏫

Impact on our community and quality of life 🏡

💬 This is your chance to have a say.

🗓 Submissions are open from:
Monday 13th April 2026 (12pm)
to
Tuesday 12th May 2026 (11:59pm)

📍 Public drop-in sessions:

Walkinstown (Cherrytree) – Tues 21st April

Red Cow Inn – Thurs 23rd April
(Times: 2:30–4:00pm & 6:00–8:00pm)

Council staff will be there to answer questions.

⚠️ Do not ignore this.
If we don’t engage now, decisions will be made without our input — and we’ll be left dealing with any consequences.

To describe these people as inspirational does not do them justice.

Our volunteers were out in force this morning adding some additional plants and a tidy up around Kilnamanagh (our home) keeping it "Clean and Green".

It was great to see some new volunteers playing their part in keeping Kilnamanagh (our home) "Clean and Green".

As ever we renew our call for more members of the community to help keep Kilnamanagh "Clean and Green".

We would also ask residents if they can water the plants just planted to help them become established during the warm dry weather.

Remember our next meet up is this Tuesday at 6.30 outside Dunnes. Why not come along for a bit of chat and banter.

Thanks to SDCC and our elected councillors for their ongoing support in keeping Kilnamanagh "Clean and Green"

23/04/2026

Onward and upwards the mantra of our tireless volunteers.

The next meetup is scheduled for Tues 28th Apr @6.30 outside Dunnes Stores.

As ever we are reaching out to the community to help us play your part in keeping Kilnamanagh (our home) "Clean and Green".

We would remind everyone that placing items/grass cuttings/branches/hedging or anything else on the ringroad is illegal dumping and will carry a fine issued by SDCC litter wardens.

We would like to give a well deserved word of thanks to both SDCC and our elected councillors for their ongoing support in keeping Kilnamanagh "Clean and Green"

Today, we’re shining a spotlight on the volunteers who show up, pitch in, and make a real difference. Your time, energy, and kindness help our community thrive—and we’re truly grateful for every hour you give.

Because of you, we’re able to:
Showcase Kilnamanagh in all it's glory
Create a welcoming area where we are proud to call home

If you’re thinking about getting involved, we’d love to have you on the team. Send us a message to learn about upcoming opportunities.
