Last week, RISLI made the short hop across the Irish Sea to visit the NRCPD; National Register of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People.

The NRCPD is the leading voluntary regulator for language service professionals, setting the benchmark for excellence in the UK and British Overseas Territories.

It was a great opportunity to discuss the different and similar challenges experienced by interpreters, as well as sharing resoruces to further improve both organisations.

Thank you so much to Tori and her colleagues for hosting us.

Yesterday, RISLI staff and Board members enjoyed a great day at Leinster House with a tour interpreted by Caroline O'Leary and Ciara Grant - the on site ISL Team for The Houses of the Oireachtas.

We were also treated to a peak of the ISL Studio where all live and pre recorded works are completed. Great day shared with numerous other RISLI registered interpreters.

Kate even had a go at interpreting some pre recorded footage !
