A law that seeks to entrench the Investment Court System – a secretive system of tribunals that serve corporate interests – in Ireland is being quietly pushed through the Oireachtas.
This new law would allow vulture funds to sue the state if it introduced legislation that impacted their profits, as in, rent caps, improved standards for accommodation and possibly even investing in public housing and building.
