Our team leaders are essential in coordinating their year’s CHEEERS DHT trip. This role is great for healthcare professionals looking for further experience in leadership and management as well as working with different communities. The role involves providing support to the team, liaising with hospital management and organising the annual CHEEERS conference. This event is co-created with the Kisiizi hospital board based around an identified training need. Recent trips have run a two day workshop for healthcare professionals from Kisiizi and far beyond on topics like the role of the MDT in care of the critically ill patient. Our 2025 team leaders also went on a project planning trip this year to support planning this conference.

If you’re interested in volunteering on our 2026 project or would like more information about the role of team leaders please see the link in our bio 🔎 🇺🇬
