Having the right support isn’t just about accessing a service. It’s about having the opportunity to live a good life, belong in your community and have real choice and control over your future.

Join us for 'A Question of Choice', a webinar exploring what needs to change in how care and support is provided in Ireland.

We’ll hear from Professor Damien Brennan of Trinity College Dublin, who will share findings from his research A Question of Choice? The Provision of Care for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities, as well as from people with lived experience about what happens when real choices about care, support and how you live your life are not available.

Every year they provide us with a great day out and their support through the years is so much appreciated.

Clonfert Pet Farm is a brilliant place for our days out - every time we go we discover something new - from animals to activities.

Adult Social Weekend 2026 - Music and Friends

Of course, no Williams' night is complete without some music and Friday night had plenty of music and chats, not to mention our recent Special Olympics athletes getting to show off their medals!!

Adult Social Weekend 2026 - Saturday was jam packed.

Members took off with our amazing volunteers Eleanor, Shauna, Kate and Catherine on the Bus (leaving those behind to get some respite) .

Sunflowers with Art It, Scones with CakeFace and then off to the National Reptile Zoo.

All followed by dinner at the famous Langtons.

Adult Social Weekend 2026

WSI was delighted to host the Adult Social Weekend 2026 in Kilkenny this weekend, partially funded by the National Lottery.

We stayed at the fabulous Knockreagh Farm Cottages in Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

After setting off to Castlecomer Discovery Park and channelling our inner Vikings at Axe Throwing there was BBQ and Songs back at the Farm, catching up with everyone.
