Join us for a very special evening as part of the Sandymount Culture Programme.
100 Years of Radio in Ireland with Alice O’Sullivan will take us on a fascinating and nostalgic journey through the sounds, stories and moments that helped shape Irish life over the past century.
Producer and DCU Media Lecturer Alice O’Sullivan will share a rare insider’s perspective on the evolution of Irish radio — from its beginnings in 1926 to the present day.
This promises to be a warm, thoughtful and engaging evening of history, culture and memory.

Celebration of Bloomsday

Join us for an intimate evening of Joycean magic as we celebrate Bloomsday with two masterful performers who bring the world of Ulysses vividly to life.

Barry McGovern, one of Ireland’s finest actors and a legendary interpreter of Joyce, will deliver a special short reading from Ulysses – a powerful, humorous, and unforgettable journey into Leopold Bloom’s Dublin.



Accompanied by the rich voice of baritone Gerry Noonan, who will perform period songs with an authentic Joycean flavour – evoking the music, ballads, and operatic echoes that thread through Joyce’s masterpiece.

A perfect hour of literature, song, and celebration in the spirit of Bloomsday.
