The second day of an exciting weekend at the amazing Dublin Comic Con is over!

Today we continued showcasing our Aikido weapons techniques. In addition to the techniques we demonstrated yesterday, we also showed some weapons-taking techniques, giving our visitors another glimpse into the breadth of our weapons practice.

It was especially great to see our old friend Richie, an active BJJ practitioner and a huge fan of aikido in general, and of Takemusu Aikido Society in particular. He travelled all the way from Cork to Dublin Comic Con and was genuinely surprised to find us there! It was great to catch up with him.

A huge thank you to our friends from the 501st Ireland Garrison for adding extra atmosphere to our demonstrations with their background music throughout the weekend, and for letting our youngest member temporarily join their ranks! 🎶⚔️ Apparently, this had an unexpected side effect: the Jawas suddenly became very friendly and even asked him for a selfie! 😄

It has been an amazing weekend full of aikido, new friends, fantastic costumes and plenty of fun.

Thank you to everyone who came to watch, asked questions, joined us, or simply stopped by to say hello.

What a weekend! See you on the mats!
