Europe faces new and evolving threats to our security.

Last night in Meath I hosted the committee responsible for helping to shape the EU’s security and defence.

Throughout Ireland’s EU Presidency, we have focused on practical cooperation, stronger resilience and preparedness, and ensuring Europe is better equipped to respond to the security challenges we face.

Informal meetings like this matter. They give Member States the space to exchange views openly, develop new ideas and help lay the groundwork for decisions taken at Ministerial level.

Thank you to the PMG representatives for their work and for joining us in Johnstown Estate.
