‘Got Frames’ is a local, independent Optician based in Dún Laoghaire. Founded by Agata, a qualified Dispensing Optician with a passion for helping people find glasses that look great and fit perfectly. Got Frames was built with community at its heart, so are delighted to announce they will now be donating all ‘frame repair fees’ to Irish Guide Dogs to help support our great work. They also offer ‘Quiet Hour’, a free one-to-one appointment designed for customers who find busy retail settings a bit overwhelming, time to choose glasses in a calm, sensory-friendly environment. So, drop by their store at 17 Lower Georges St, Dun Laoghaire, Mon to Sat, 10am -5pm to support this local business and their fundraising initiative for IGDB Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind

Our Branch will be fundraising this Fri, Sept 4th & Sat, Sept 5th in Bloomfields Shopping Centre, Dunlaoghaire (off Lower Georges St) from 10am -4pm so drop by our stand to say 'Hi' if you are in the centre doing a bit of shopping!

Annual "Pet Blessing Service" will take place next Sunday, August 30th at 3pm in Monkstown Church (Church of Ireland). Revd Kevin Conroy will host this special service for the celebration and blessing of our pets & working animals. All proceeds in aid of Irish Guide dogs for the Blind & Blue Cross. So, come along, bring your pets and support these two great charities.

A PAWsome thank you to ‘Woodbrook Golf Club’ who celebrate their 100 year centenary (1926-2026) for raising €9,305 for IGDB thanks to the generosity of club members, teams & everyone who donated. A special mention to Delores Flood (long time supporter of IGDB), Caroline Flood & Declan Doran, Mens & Lady Captain, WB staff & volunteers (Phil Sweeney, Heather Argue & Marie Burns) and their Sponsors ‘Newpark Healthcare’. A big shout out to the brave Berni Killilea who 'took the leap to transform lives' raising €1,595 so far for IGDB. Berni particiapted in the national tandem skydive in Clonbullogue Parachute Club, in Offaly on July 18th, jumping from 13,000 feet to raise money for the charity so if you'd like to support Berni & donate to her page visit https://eventmaster.ie/fundraising/pages/BK82938413

A big Thank You to the TY students of Coláiste Ráithín Bray who took part in a 'Colour Dash' for IGDB raising €540 for the charity. Thanks to teacher Sarah Uí Dhuinn and to Ruth, John & Gary from the Bray Sports Promotion Unit who supported the event. Thanks also to GDO's Deirdre Deverell+guide dog 'Bruno' & Clara Ryder+guide dog 'Blu' who gave a talk to the TY students.
