Yesterday the campaign met with An Taoiseach Michael Martin and Deputy Barry Heneghan to discuss the crisis of special education. It is hard to tell if the Taoiseach took on board our concerns around special education places, the number of SNAs in the system etc but he was genuinely interested in what we had to say about the Relate Framework. We will not stop campaigning on these important issues and will be sending out correspondence to those who have signed up to the campaign very soon.

Save our SNA campaign wants to thank the candidates who came to our by-election meeting in Ballybough last night and signed our pledge.

We as a campaign are very disapointed Fine Gael candidate Ray McAdam refused to sign the pledge and left a rooom of over 100 parents and SNAs before questions could be asked of him.

Quick update. We are about to meet Cathal Crowe TD, chair of the education committee. We will do an update afterwards.
