Families Affected by Addiction: A Handbook” (Springer, 2025)

🌏 Sangath India’s Addictions and Related-Research Group (ARG) substantial contributions to “Families Affected by Addiction: A Handbook” in Springer Nature 2025 extends truth and newfangled addiction-related findings.

👉 This open-access volume brings together global expertise, with ARG members authoring and co-authoring several key chapters around daily encounters of addiction (AFMs), innovative approaches, family therapy and stigma related key discussions.

📍Aiming to produce a resource for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers where:
🤝 Key information is summarised and accessible
🔎 Contributors take s critical-reflective stance and base their contributions on research and evidence (including both qualitative and quantitative data)
📑 Implications for policy, practice, research, and theory are made explicit

💫 The handbook offers practical insights into policy, practice, and research on supporting families affected by addiction, with a strong focus on lived experience and evidence-based interventions.
Starting from the very fundamentals of AFM experiences to how element attributes to variation in experiences and to identifying gaps, the book further identifies the major improvements in understanding the situation of AFMs in the last decades.
