Our story began in Tripoli, Lebanon, where our first oven was decorated by world-renowned artist Shrine in collaboration with local youth impacted by sectarian conflict – and GO has grown from there. Our ovens are now operational in the Beqaa Valley feeding Syrian and Palestinian refugees – and in Beirut, in the wake of the blast. We do not follow the path of traditional food relief. We are not in
the business of temporary handouts. Our ovens are designed to feed many people, by empowering communities to feed themselves sustainably. This approach is multilayered
Born in contexts of urgent need, our giant ovens have the capacity to quickly cook meals on a large scale when the need for food provision is immediate and critical. In the face of severed supply chains, we connect our community ovens with local farmers, creating lasting distribution channels that minimize waste of local produce and bolster local economies.
