Foróige Clubs are local, youth-led communities across Ireland where young people (aged 10–17) connect, build confidence and have fun. Nationally, Foróige works with over 50,000 young people every year with clubs all over the country.

Run entirely by young people for young people - and supported by adult volunteers - members take the lead in making decisions, planning activities and running their own club nights. Whether through standard youth clubs, junior clubs or specialist clubs, Foróige Clubs provide a safe, vibrant space where young people's voices matter and their ideas take shape.

Dublin City Council’s Clontarf and Donaghmede Community and Social Development team are working with Foróige on a new project in the area to support universal access volunteer-led youth clubs. Foróige Universal is a new youth work project designed to support young people in Dublin City to engage in Foróige supported by Basis Point, HSBC and Dublin City Council. We are currently looking for adult volunteers in the coming months to help us set up Foróige clubs locally where young people can grow, learn and have their voices heard. If you want to make a positive impact in our local area and support the next generation, we would love to hear from you!

Please note: Mechanical Spring bulb planting is for large drifts of green space only. There needs to be space for the tractor and planting equipment to operate safely. Please do not submit areas for consideration which are under tree canopies or where there is signage, lighting columns, poles and service covers. Grass verges will not be considered.

Sharing on behalf of a local mother who's son had this experience

⚠️ Warning for parents in the area.

At around 8:10 pm this evening, my 11-year-old son was walking home. He had just crossed the pedestrian crossing at the Artane Castle Shopping Centre car park, near the roundabout, when a man, who appeared to be in his mid-20s, stopped in a grey Skoda (possibly an Octavia).

The man was wearing a cap and a basketball jersey and called out to my son, saying, "Come over."

My son replied "No" and ran away. The car then drove off towards Northside Shopping Centre.

My son also believes the man may have been filming him, although we can't be certain that was the case.

I'm sharing this to make parents aware and to remind children never to approach or get into a car with someone they don't know. If anyone was in the area around 8:10 pm and saw anything, or if you have dashcam footage, please let me know. It may also be worth checking if anyone else experienced something similar.
