The Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) was honoured to participate in the Pakistan Independence Day Flag Ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan in Dublin.

It was a proud and memorable occasion as the Pakistani community came together to celebrate 79 years of Pakistan’s independence, reflecting on our shared heritage, unity and the strong bonds between Pakistan and Ireland.

🏌️‍♂️⛳ Pakistan Golf Cup 2026 – A Day of Golf, Friendship & Giving Back 🇵🇰🇮🇪

The Pakistan Golf Cup 2026, held on 26 July 2026 at the beautiful Powerscourt Golf Club, was a tremendous success, bringing together 80 golfers from Ireland and the UK for a fantastic day of sport, networking, and community spirit.

Congratulations to 🏆 Hamza Raziq, the Pakistan Golf Cup 2026 Champion, on an outstanding performance!

The Pakistan Golf Cup is about much more than golf. Every year, we proudly raise funds to support a children's charity. This year, we are honoured to support Scoil Mhuire Naofa, Carrigallen, an autism school dedicated to helping children with additional needs. Thank you to everyone whose generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all of our sponsors, whose continued support makes this event possible. As a small token of our appreciation, each sponsor received a Signature Presentation Box in recognition of their valued partnership and commitment to the Pakistan Golf Cup.

Another successful Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) monthly networking meeting took place today at the RDS Members’ Club, bringing together members, business leaders, and stakeholders committed to strengthening trade and business links between Ireland and Pakistan.

The meeting featured a comprehensive overview of the recent PIBC delegation visit to Pakistan and participation in the High-Level EU–Pakistan Business Forum. Chairperson Angela Canavan shared key insights from the visit, highlighting valuable opportunities for collaboration, investment, and business growth between both countries.

Members also received detailed feedback on PIBC’s online engagement with FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry), focusing on practical ways Irish and Pakistani businesses can connect, collaborate, and access new market opportunities.

We were delighted to welcome representatives from both IPPA and PISMA, whose participation further strengthened discussions around community engagement and business development.

A special address was delivered by Deputy Head of Mission, Shahid Iqbal, who shared valuable perspectives on Pakistan-Ireland relations. PIBC took the opportunity to acknowledge and thank him for his outstanding service and contribution as he prepares to take up his new diplomatic posting in Tehran. We wish him every success in his new role.

We were also honoured that H.E. Mariam Aftab, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland, joined members later for lunch, where productive discussions continued on strengthening economic, trade, and community ties between both nations.

A warm welcome was extended to Asim Sattar and the visiting delegation from Belfast. PIBC greatly appreciates their continued support and engagement with our initiatives both in Ireland and Pakistan.

Thank you to all members and guests who attended and contributed to another insightful and productive session. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the next PIBC networking meeting.

Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) was delighted to participate in a highly successful webinar on *Export Opportunities in the Irish Market, organised in collaboration with **FPCCI**, the Embassy of Ireland in Pakistan, and the Commercial Section of the Consulate of Pakistan in Manchester.

The session brought together exporters, importers, distributors, trade officials, and business leaders from Pakistan and Ireland to explore opportunities in Ireland's Food & Beverage sector, understand importer and distributor requirements, discuss market-entry strategies, and highlight Ireland's position as a gateway to the European market.

A special appreciation goes to **FPCCI** for its outstanding efforts in bringing together such a large number of attendees from across Pakistan and creating a valuable platform for direct engagement with Irish market representatives. We also extend our sincere thanks to **Imran Khalil Naseer** for his dedication and excellent organisation of this important initiative.

We are grateful to Amir Iqbal (Ashvill), Ibrahim Riaz, , and Badar Mirza for sharing practical insights from a wholesaler and distributor perspective, providing invaluable guidance to Pakistani exporters seeking access to Ireland and Europe.

PIBC members were pleased to contribute presentations and market knowledge to assist Pakistani businesses in understanding how **Ireland can serve as a strategic gateway to the European Union market**. It was encouraging to see meaningful discussions, new business connections, and potential partnerships emerging from the session.

We also acknowledge the continued support of both the **Irish and Pakistani diplomatic missions**, whose involvement adds significant value to strengthening trade, investment, and economic cooperation between our two countries.
