🌙💙 DROGHEDA HOMELESS AID’S BIG SLEEPOUT 2026 – WE NEED YOU! 💙🌙

We’re calling on our amazing community, local businesses and corporate companies to come together and support our **Annual Big Sleepout** in aid of Drogheda Homeless Aid! 🏠💙

📅 Friday 11th December – Saturday 12th December 2026
⏰ 9AM – 9AM | 24 HOURS
📍 St. Peter’s Church, West Street, Drogheda

Our Big Sleepout is our biggest fundraiser of the year, helping us raise vital funds to continue providing shelter, meals and essential support to men experiencing homelessness across Louth and Meath.

There are so many ways YOU can make a difference! 👇

We are hosting a Matchnight Food Drive in partnership with local charities who distribute food to families in need, at Friday’s match vs Derry City.

We invite home & away supporters to bring the following food items from 6.15pm onwards: Tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, pasta, rice, pasta sauces, beans, spaghetti, cereals, soups and pot noodles.

Drop off spots: Clubhouse car park & Inside turnstiles on the Crosslanes!

Our bucket collection on Friday night will also see all donations made go directly to the food drive to aid local charities in their work.

Local charities and organisations who will benefit from this food drive are The Red Door Project - LCDAT , The FoodShare Project -Drogheda region, Drogheda Homeless Aid, Drogheda Womens and Children Refuge Centre, Connect Frc & The Community House, Rathmullan.

🐾 **Meet Zeus – The Newest Member of Our Hostel Family!** 🐾

We’d like to introduce you all to **Zeus**, our newest four-legged friend and very special member of the hostel family! ❤️🐶

Since arriving, Zeus has brought a whole new level of comfort, warmth and happiness to our clients and staff. He truly is the sweetest boy, always ready for a belly rub, a cuddle and plenty of love. 🥰

Zeus loves his long walks with the lads and is happiest when he’s out enjoying some fresh air and good company. Back at the hostel, he loves nothing more than being the centre of attention with the staff — and, of course, we’re more than happy to oblige! 🐾😂

We all absolutely adore Zeus and his gentle, loving nature. He has a wonderful way of making people feel at ease and bringing a little extra joy to everyone around him.

In collaboration with Drogheda United F.C., we recently launched a new season of the Homeless Street League, a community-based wellbeing initiative that uses the power of football to support people experiencing homelessness and social exclusion.

Funded by Sláintecare Healthy Communities through Louth County Council, the Department of Health and Healthy Louth , the initiative is delivered by Drogheda United in partnership with local referral agencies, The Red Door Project - LCDAT and Drogheda Homeless Aid.

Participants in the programme engage in weekly training sessions at Drogheda United’s Sullivan and Lambe Park while building positive relationships, developing routines and improving overall wellbeing.

Everyone at Drogheda Homeless Aid would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to Tesco Community Fund for giving our service the wonderful opportunity to be part of their community fund.
Support like this means so much to us. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue to provide a safe, supportive environment and make a positive difference in the lives of the people who come through our doors.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Joe from JK Signs Drogheda for the incredible support he has shown to Drogheda Homeless Aid.
Joe did an absolutely exceptional job wrapping our Meals on Wheels van, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished result! 🚐✨

Your generosity, professionalism and willingness to support our service means so much to us. The van is now looking fantastic and proudly represents the work we do in our community — delivering meals and support to those who need it. ❤️
