It is the day after our Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre Drogheda Mini Marathon, and we are still buzzing from the incredible atmosphere, kindness, and sense of community that filled the Centre yesterday. 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️💜🚶🏼‍♀️💜🏃🏻‍➡️

Just under 300 runners and walkers joined us to take part, making this our biggest Drogheda Mini Marathon to date. From the moment people arrived until the last cup of tea was poured, there was a wonderful feeling of positivity and good vibes throughout the day.

After crossing the finish line, participants gathered in our garden to enjoy tea, coffee, refreshments, and listen to the fantastic entertainment provided by Declan from The Faa Side.

We would like to sincerely thank Musgrave, Clarke’s, and Philip for their generous contribution of refreshments, which helped create such a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attended.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to An Garda Síochána and the Civil Defence for their presence throughout the event and for helping to ensure everyone could enjoy the day safely.

Most importantly, thank you to every single person who walked, ran, volunteered, donated, fundraised, sponsored, or simply came along. Your generosity and kindness make a real difference and help us continue providing free emotional, psychological, and practical support services to individuals and families affected by cancer.

Thank you for making yesterday such a special day. 💜

💜 Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre Drogheda Mini Marathon 2026 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre Drogheda Mini Marathon today.

We were absolutely blown away by the support from our community. This year, we nearly doubled our number of participants, growing from 150 last year to just under 300 today! The atmosphere was fantastic, with smiles, encouragement, and community spirit all along the route.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who walked, ran, volunteered, fundraised, sponsored participants, and supported the event in any way. Every step taken today will help us continue providing free emotional, psychological, and practical support services to individuals and families affected by cancer.

A special thank you to:
💜 Civil Defence and An Garda Síochána for helping to keep everyone safe throughout the event.
💜 Declan from The Faa Side for the wonderful music and entertainment.
💜 Rebecca from Sam Mulroy Fitness for leading such an energetic warm-up and getting everyone ready for the start line.
💜 Musgrave for the beautiful flowers and refreshments.
💜 Clarke’s for the generous donation of fresh fruit and berries.
💜 Philip for kindly delivering milk for our tea and coffee station.

Finally, thank you to our amazing volunteers and route supporters who gave up their Sunday morning to help make the event such a success. We simply could not do it without you.

Thank you all for making today’s Mini Marathon one to remember. We are already looking forward to next year! 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Bank Holiday Bops 1960s Night in O’Raghallaigh’s Pub last night. The effort everyone made with their outfits was simply incredible – the room was filled with colour, fun, and plenty of 60s style! We loved seeing so many people embrace the theme and help create such a wonderful atmosphere. 🎶🕺💃

Special thanks to DJ Blue for keeping the dance floor busy with an amazing selection of tunes, to our fantastic volunteers who helped behind the scenes and our photographer on the night, Noel Carter.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along, supported the event, bought raffle tickets, danced the night away, and helped raise funds for the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre. Your support makes a real difference and helps us continue providing our free services to people and families affected by cancer.

Thank you all for a fun and colourful night! ☮️🌈🌸🎶💜
