€30,000 FOR ADULT COUNSELLING SERVICES 💙

The demand for accessible mental health and counselling services continues to grow throughout Donegal.

We were therefore particularly pleased to present €15,000 each to:

Donegal Family Resource Centre, Donegal Town and Suaimhneas Counselling & Psychotherapy, formerly the Pastoral Centre, Letterkenny.

Both provide professional and compassionate support to people who need it, with adult counselling particularly dependent on fundraising and donations.

Previous Bluestack funding has already helped provide hundreds of individual counselling sessions.

This year’s €30,000 contribution will help that vital work continue.

Sometimes the most important support we can give someone is simply making sure help is there when they need it. 💙

€37,500 FOR ADDITIONAL NEEDS 💙

Supporting people with additional needs has been at the heart of the Bluestack Challenge since the very beginning in 2002.

This year we were delighted to present:

Bluestack Special Needs Foundation – €27,500 Bluestack Foundation 
Liquid Therapy, Rossnowlagh – €5,000 Liquid Therapy 
Nemo Special Olympics Sports Club, Ballyshannon – €5,000 Nemo Special Olympics Swim Club

Three wonderful organisations helping children, adults and families throughout our community. From inclusive sport and specialist programmes to adaptive surf therapy and essential family supports, the work being done is truly inspiring. We are delighted to continue supporting this very important area.

€37,500 going directly back into supporting people and families. 💙

€42,500 FOR CANCER CARE SERVICES 💙

We were extremely proud to present €42,500 to three organisations providing invaluable cancer services to people from Donegal and their families:

Cancer Care West – €25,000
Supporting Inis Aoibhinn in Galway and the Cancer Support Centre in Letterkenny. Cancer Care West

Solace Cancer Support Centre, Donegal Town – €10,000 Solace Donegal Cancer Support Centre

Good and New Cancer Support – €7,500
Supporting the vital Cancer Bus service transporting Donegal patients to Galway for treatment.

These services provide transport, accommodation, counselling, information and practical and emotional support at some of the most difficult times people and families will ever experience.

We are enormously proud that the efforts of everyone involved in the Bluestack Challenge can help support their work.

€132,500 DISTRIBUTED TO 11 DONEGAL CAUSES 💙

What a night – and what a result.

The Bluestack Challenge Committee was delighted to distribute an incredible €132,500 to 11 beneficiary organisationsworking across County Donegal.

This year our beneficiaries represent four hugely important areas:

💙 Cancer Care
💙 Additional Needs
💙 Mental Health Supports
💙 Neurodegenerative Supports

Behind that €132,500 are hundreds of individual acts of generosity – from our Bluestack Challengers and their sponsors, to our volunteers, guides, committee, local businesses, sponsors and everyone who helped make the 2026 Challenge possible.

The Bluestack Challenge has always been about community, compassion and people helping people.

Thank you to everyone who played their part.
And most importantly, to our 11 beneficiary organisations – thank you for the extraordinary work you do every day throughout Donegal.

€22,500 FOR NEURODEGENERATIVE SUPPORTS 💙

For the first time, the Bluestack Challenge is delighted to support three organisations working with individuals and families affected by neurodegenerative conditions throughout Donegal.

Parkinson’s Ireland – North-West Branch – €7,500 Parkinsons Ireland

MS Ireland – Donegal Branch – €7,500 MS Ireland

Alzheimer Society of Ireland – Ballyshannon & Letterkenny – €7,500 The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease touch the lives of so many families and communities. Their impact extends far beyond the individual – to husbands, wives, partners, children, carers and loved ones. Through information, advocacy, practical assistance and local support, these organisations provide an invaluable lifeline.

We are very proud to welcome all three as Bluestack Challenge beneficiaries in 2026. 💙

💙⛰️ What a Weekend at the Bluestack Challenge! ⛰️💙

A huge THANK YOU to all the incredible people who laced up their boots and took on the Bluestack Challenge this weekend. Your determination, enthusiasm, and community spirit helped raise vital funds for some truly amazing charities, and we couldn't be more grateful to be one of the beneficaries of this amazing day 🥰

A special shout-out to all the organisers and volunteers who once again did an exceptional job delivering such a large, successful, and well-run event. The amount of work that goes on behind the scenes never goes unnoticed, and we're so thankful for everything you do.

We're also incredibly proud of our own Niell and former team member Michelle, who tackled the challenge together and represented us so brilliantly. Congratulations to you both on a fantastic achievement!

To everyone who participated, donated, supported, volunteered, cheered from the sidelines, or played any part in making the weekend such a success, thank you. Events like this are a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together for a great cause.
