🎉 **What an unforgettable night!** 🎉
On Thursday, May 21st, the Central Hotel was absolutely buzzing for the **Foróige Donegal Town Forget Me Not Ball
**! From 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM, our incredible young people put on a night to remember, and we couldn’t be prouder. 💙✨
This amazing event was entirely organized by a dedicated youth committee as part of Foróige’s **Connect to Citizenship Programme**, with the brilliant support of Kerry Gallagher from Foróige’s **The Deck UBU project**.
** The event was the brainwave of Sarah Harvey, Soirbh Friery and Katie O'Brien who recruited a few extras to help plan and organise the evening
🌸 Dancing for a Cause
The Forget Me Not Ball was a fundraiser for **Alzheimer Society of Ireland**.
But the work doesn't stop here! This inspiring committee is on a mission to keep raising awareness and ensure Donegal Town is actively striding toward becoming a truly **dementia-friendly town**.
🙌 A Massive Thank You!
An event of this scale takes a village, and we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
* **Donegal Town Credit Union** & the **Donegal Town Mayor** for their incredible support of our youth.
* The **parents and families** of the young people for their endless encouragement and backing.
*Our amazing staff and volunteers who showed up in force on the night
*Christina Irwin Photography for capturing those truly special moments
🏆 **The Biggest Thanks Goes To...**
Our phenomenal **young people**! Your leadership, hard work, and passion are proof that the future of Donegal Town is in very safe hands. You saw a way to make a difference, and you absolutely smashed it!

Our junior group had the best day at our bake sale in Killygordan CAKE centre for ‘Animals in need Donegal town” 🐾 a charity that they all wanted to give back to!!

We had the best fun in the lead up to the day by making all our tray bakes from scratch 💪🏻😅 and even better we raised more than we thought! Amazing experience for our young people to give back and understand the process. 🍪🍰✨☕️🐾🐱🐶✨

Teddy Bears' Picnic Success!🐻🌞

What a fantastic day we had at our Teddy Bears' Picnic!
It was so wonderful to see so many young parents and their adorable babies come together for an afternoon of fun in the park. The sunshine, the giggles, and all the cute teddy bears made for a truly special occasion💖

We loved watching everyone connect, share stories, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Moments like these are what the project is all about - building a strong, friendly community for young parents. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us🌟🧸

Swipe to see some of highlights!!

A huge thank you to the organisers and to the young people who joined us and took part in our activities.
It was brilliant to see so much energy, fun, and community spirit throughout the day.

Foróige is partnering with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and South East Technological University to support a research study on using Dungeons and Dragons to achieve positive outcomes with neurodiverse young people.

For this phase of the study, they would like to gather the views of people aged 16 years or older who play games of any kind (board games, video games etc). The survey can be found here.

A night to remember... 🧡
We want to say a massive THANK YOU to the young people, volunteers, and staff who made this evening’s Foróige Citizenship Showcase at the Clanree Hotel such a success.
The dedication shown in these projects is a testament to the hard work happening in our clubs and groups every week. Seeing the community come together like this is what it’s all about!
Special thanks to .gooch for bringing the energy to the stage tonight. 🎤
We’re busy sorting through all the great snaps from the event, but we’ll have more photographs posted right here next week!
