Looking back on the International Day of Charity earlier this week 💛

On 5 September, we marked the International Day of Charity, a day that reminds us of the power of compassion, generosity and coming together to make a difference.

At Operation Childlife, we’re grateful for everyone who makes our work possible, from our dedicated volunteers and healthcare professionals to our supporters around the world.

It is with deep sadness and regret that we share the news of the passing of our beloved volunteer Dr Terence Montague.

Terence served as a volunteer on Operation Childlife missions to Mongolia in 2022 and 2024, generously sharing his considerable expertise in paediatric anaesthesiology and patient safety with the local Mongolian team, which was very enthusiastically received.

Our thoughts are with Terence’s wife Therese and his three sons, Cian, Fearghus and Darragh at this incredibly sad time.
