🗑️ Di**le Tidy Towns 🗑️

Due to unsuitable weather conditions today, and in the interest of volunteer safety, the Di**le Tidy Towns group has decided to postpone their County Clean-Up effort to Saturday, April 18th.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Bottle Bank by The Tracks at 10am, where pickers, bags, high-vis vests, and gloves will be available.

☘️🇮🇪 St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Di**le 2026 🇮🇪☘️
☘️🇮🇪 Lá Fhéile Pádraig i nDaingean Uí Chúis 2026 🇮🇪🍀

The organisers of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Di**le are appealing to all business owners to make a special effort this year to be part of the celebrations. By entering a float or display of some kind, you have the opportunity to advertise and highlight your business or service in front of the large crowds who come out to view the Parade at various points throughout the town.

Clubs, groups, associations, and individuals are also invited to join in the fun on the day.

In a change of plan, the 2026 Parade will assemble along the Di**le Relief Road (adjacent to Pobalscoil) before the 12.45pm start and proceed to Top of Goat Street, following the Traditional Route thereafter. All participants are requested to be at the start for 12.15pm for registration and place arrangements.

Kerry County Council is now accepting applications for the Commercial Scheme for Rates Waiver 2026, designed to support new and expanding businesses and encourage the use of vacant properties in towns and villages across the county.

✔️ Fashion boutiques
✔️ Office space (finance, recruitment, tech start-ups)
✔️ Artisan trades (cobblers, dressmakers, etc.)
✔️ Artisan food, bakeries & cake shops
✔️ Gift shops & craft co-ops
✔️ Clusters of start-ups
✔️ Vintage, thrift & sustainable clothing shops
✔️ Educational & training facilities

📌 Key criteria:
• Property must be an existing rateable property
• Located in a town or village
• Vacant for a continuous period of 2 years

🚫 Not covered by the scheme:

The Complete Digital Marketing Programme (6 sessions)

This enormously popular programme has been pivotal for hundreds of businesses for their digital marketing strategy.

January Programme: Starts on Friday 23rd January and runs for 6 consecutive Friday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

This Digital Marketing Programme takes place over six online sessions and is ideal for businesses who want to sell their products or services using their website and social media.

It is an intensive course on the main aspects of digital marketing including SEO, website marketing, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok plus you will learn how to shoot and edit your own marketing videos and how to design eye-catching graphics for social media using Canva. Lots of people attend an individual course on SEO or Facebook but then struggle to see how it all fits together. This course is designed to give you a comprehensive overview of digital marketing – it explains the major strands in detail and explains how they all fit together.

The course is pitched at beginner to intermediate level.
