We were very lucky in our valleys to be able to see the solar eclipse through the clouds.

Did anyone else get any nice photos?

"The River Remembers" is an exciting new project, with the Coomhola River and its salmon at the centre of the story for a short documentary film. Recording, preserving and honouring the precious heritage and local knowledge around the river is happening now! The Mealagh Valley Heritage Keepers are working together with StreamScapes and the Coomhola Borlin Development Association, funded by The Heritage Council.

Thanks for sharing this Bantry Bookshop and Susan for showcasing!

Delighted to have copies of ‘Hidden Gold’ and ‘Hidden Food’ in stock. Hidden Gold is a record of the history and folklore of the Coomhola and Borlin Valleys. Hidden Food is a delightful collection of recipes (and lovely artwork) from the residents of the valley.
