This year’s Summer Art Installation is a multi media project which will focus on creating wearable art pieces that express something of our life’s journey and the courage it has taken to walk in our own shoes.

Before you start to judge me, step into my shoes and walk the life I’m living.
See what I see. Feel what I feel. Then you’ll see, how strong I really am.

A huge congratulations to our Lantern Project on its nomination in the Lord Mayor’s Community & Voluntary Awards 🏆

Karina, our Lantern Coordinator, shared:
“This nomination is such an honour and a recognition of the work we do. We experience the transformational impact of community education in people’s lives every day. It is so wonderful to be acknowledged by the Lord Mayor of our beautiful city.”

Well done to all those nominated, especially Dillon’s Cross Project and Foróige — and thank you to The Echo for highlighting this important work!🌟

Today we gathered in gratitude at the Lantern Project in Nano Nagle Place to celebrate and thank our incredible tutors and tutor support workers for all they bring to our Lantern community.

It was a day of nourishment and sharing food for the body and food for the soul.

A heartfelt thank you to Michelle Gupta for guiding our tutors through a beautiful loving kindness meditation and gentle Tai Chi movement in the peaceful contemplative space beside Nano’s tomb. Surrounded by gorgeous shade and calm, it was a truly special experience that everyone deeply appreciated.

We are also so grateful to Mary Healy for preparing such delicious food with great kindness and care. The shared meal created space for reflection, connection, laughter and thankfulness among the tutors.

A huge thank you also to our wonderful colleagues at Nano Nagle Place for helping us host such a warm and beautiful gathering.

There was great appreciation throughout the day for the care, support and sense of belonging that tutors receive through the Lantern Project, a place where community truly matters. 💛
