Vacancy - Cork County Councul Arts Culture & Language SPC
This is an opportunity to have a real voice in shaping arts, culture and language policy across Cork County and to ensure that the perspectives of community groups are reflected in local decision-making.
SPCs play an important role in advising and assisting the Council in the development, review and implementation of policy.
As a PPN representative, you will:
Ensure the voices and experiences of community groups are heard in local policy discussions.
Help influence decisions that affect arts, culture and language initiatives across the county.
Represent the interests and priorities of the Community and Voluntary sector.
Build valuable relationships with councillors, council officials and stakeholders from other sectors.
Develop your knowledge of local government and policy-making.
Gain experience in advocacy, representation and leadership.
What support is available?
Meetings take place four times per year, with the option to attend online or in County Hall.
Travel expenses are reimbursed.
You will work alongside two experienced PPN Arts representatives who have served on the SPC for almost two years.
Cork County PPN will provide training, mentoring and development opportunities to support you in your role.
