Cork County Council, in partnership with Cork City Council, Swim Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership, is inviting members of the public to take part in a survey as part of the ongoing Draft Cork Swimming Strategy.

The strategy is examining current indoor public swimming provision across Cork City and County, including:

🏊 current usage and accessibility
🏊 school and club demand
🏊 learn-to-swim provision
🏊 future planning considerations up to 2040

The survey will help inform future planning and prioritisation discussions and gather feedback on current experiences of swimming provision across Cork.

Please complete the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CorkandCorkCountyGeneralPublicSurvey

Welcome to the latest edition of the Cork County PPN E‑Bulletin!

This edition is packed with a wide range of community events, education opportunities, funding supports, and ways to get involved across Cork County — all designed to keep members informed, connected, and engaged.

A strong focus in this edition is on local events and participation opportunities, including upcoming Cork Volunteer Centre pop‑ups.

In this edition, we’re delighted to highlight the key role played by libraries across the county, with an extensive programme of free workshops, talks, and community activities.

There are numerous opportunities to get involved , with current vacancies across our Secretariat, SPCs, LCDCs, and our Linkage Groups.

This , we hope there’s something for everything – including the Coca‑Cola Thank You Fund, AIB Community Fund, supports for Disabled Persons’ Organisations, childcare capital funding, and initiatives supporting Traveller and Roma employment — offering a wide range of supports for community projects and organisations.

Finally, members are invited to participate in ongoing consultations, including the national Research in Ireland Barometer survey, helping to ensure that community voices shape future research, policy, and funding priorities.

A busy edition — full of opportunities to connect, learn, participate, and strengthen communities right across Cork County!
