Spirit of Mother Jones Festival Cork

19/10/2026

For the past three years, a weekly march to support the Palestinian people has taken place each Saturday in Cork City. One of the main organisers is Arthur Leahy. Arthur received the Spirit of Mother Jones Award in 2025.

In the 10th story of our series, Arthur takes us on a journey from the repressive city he left to the town he helped transform on his return. Arthur has been on the right side of history all his life and he was part of the inception of the Cork Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
