This account is the archive of the former Camden Fort Meagher official page which was operated by the volunteers from 2010 until 2023. During this period all of the customer facing parts of the fort were run by a wonderful hard working group of passionate volunteers who managed to turn the once sad ruin into one of the most popular heritage and tourist sites in County Cork. The fort is no
w being run directly by Cork County Council who as of late 2023 are responsible for running the fort and will be responsible for all publicity bearing the name Camden Fort Meagher from then on. We wish them well and look forward to the fort being brought into the next stage of its development but we wanted to keep this old account as an archive to all the incredible work carried out by an amazing bunch of people between 2010 and 2023
