The Cork Migrant Centre is a psychosocial welling and Integration Hub located at Nano Nagle Place. It was established by the Presentation Sisters in 2006.

The Cork Migrant Centre (CMC), is based at Nano Nagle Place in Cork City. We are based in this community hub and provide free, confidential and current information on access to services and immigration issues. The Centre is committed to advocating on behalf of migrant children, families, and communities, and to ensure they have access to the services and supports they need to alleviate the day to day challenges and provide them the best possible opportunities to empower them individually and collectively.

A beautiful morning filled with creativity, coffee, laughter and lovely smiles! ❤️✨

Our women came together to paint glass jars, share colourful ideas and express their creativity. Every jar was unique, just like every woman and her story. 🌸🖌️

More than just a painting workshop, it was a moment of connection, friendship, cultural sharing and belonging. Different backgrounds, beautiful colours, and one wonderful community! 🌍

A little paint, a cup of coffee, a lot of laughter, and a world of friendship. Together, we add life and colour!

Thank you to all the wonderful women who made this morning so special!

A very special full-circle moment at Nano Nagle Place today!

We were delighted to welcome Sharmeen Samuel, pictured here with her partner Jason, daughter Summer and brother Stephen, alongside Sr Rosarie, who is the Congregational Archivist for the Presentation Sisters Congregational Archives at Nano Nagle Place. Many years ago, Sr Rosarie and Sr Margaret Cahill (pictured) taught Sharmeen in Wah, Pakistan. Today, Sharmeen has gone on to build a life in the United States, practising medicine and making a difference in her own community.

This reunion is a beautiful reflection of Nano Nagle’s legacy in action, showing how the Presentation mission has touched lives across generations and continents🌍

✨🎨 Creativity, Collaboration & Beautiful Moments! 💖

Over the past two weeks, the girls have been enjoying wonderful creative sessions filled with art, laughter, and collaboration at the UCC Glucksman Gallery. 🥰

Last week and again today, they had the opportunity to explore their creativity, share ideas, and make beautiful things together. From colourful pom-pom keychains to adorable mini canvases featuring the first letters of their names, each activity was a lovely way for the girls to express themselves, learn new skills, and enjoy creating art together. 🧶🖼️🌸

I’m so proud of them and so happy to see their confidence, creativity, and teamwork growing with each session. It’s especially beautiful to see girls supporting one another, sharing ideas, and building connections through art. ❤️✨

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at UCC Glucksman Gallery, the facilitators, and our talented artists, Leniye and Samar, for their inspiring ideas, creativity, and support. Thank you for providing such a welcoming space where young people can learn, create, collaborate, and shine! 🌟

The International Garden in action!✨

The garden was created as a shared space where people can grow food from their own countries alongside local community members.

It provides an opportunity to garden, share knowledge and cultures, and build connections through food and nature.

What a day at the Cork Migrant Centre Summer BBQ! ☀️🌍💛

From the delicious food by Saoirse Ethnic Hands to the incredible dancing by Esmeraldo, the day was filled with laughter, music, great food and wonderful company.

SoundBurst Recap!🎶

Last Saturday, Fitzgerald Park came to life with SoundBurst, a youth-led festival filled with amazing performances, interactive workshops, creative stands, and so much more ✨

A huge thank you to everyone involved, and a special congratulations to the youth team who delivered such an incredible event, you should be so proud 👏

SoundBurst is a partnership between Cork Midsummer Festival, Cork Migrant Centre, and YMCA, in collaboration with Cork City Council. Supported by the Regional Creatives Fund, RTÉ Toy Show Appeal with Community Foundation Ireland, and Cork LCYP Creative Network Fund with Creative Ireland and CETB.
