ts. Envirosoc is also an affiliate group of Young friends of the Earth Ireland and collaborates with other green and environmentally inclined groups in UCC, Cork and on a nationwide level. Envirosoc also works closely with the UCC Green Campus Committee, a student run initiative to help the college maintain its Green Flag status, awarded by An Taisce. We also plan and run UCC Earth Week, an annual event, in conjunction with the Green Campus committee. Earth Week is a week long series of events held during the first week of March, where the society gets out and about on campus to provide an accessible way for students to learn about different organisations and various environmental issues. We are the sponsor of the UCC Community Gardens which is a student run garden initiative, located behind the old societies hub on college road.
