Next Sunday sees the launch of The Quiet Club’s new limited edition vinyl LP. Recorded live late last year in the Quay Co Op where they played live at the opening of Gerard Staunton’s exhibition. It is released on clear vinyl in a very beautiful package by Farpoint Recordings who are Irelands leading sound art label are famous for the quality of their work.
Sunday they will perform with special guests Anthony Kelly and James Fortune at 2pm in My Goodness Quay Co Op.

Formed in 2006, the Quiet Club have met with considerable success and have become recognised as one of Ireland’s leading sound art improvisation groups. They have toured extensively in Ireland and have played at festivals in UK, Germany, Poland, Canada, China , USA and Japan.They have appeared at The World Expo (Shanghai), Static (Liverpool) and I & E Festival, (Dublin),Mobius (Boston) and Harvestworks (New York), Black Iris Gallery, Richmond, Virginia. And Café Oto (London), They have toured in the USA on several occasions and completed a major residency in the Rauschenberg Foundation, Captiva Florida. They frequently play together with guests, which in the past have included Mark Wastell, Stephen Vitiello, Mel Mercier, Steve Roden, Jed Spear, John Godfrey, Harry Moore, Iarla O’Lionard , David Toop, Pauline Oliveros and many others. They have numerous releases on Farpoint Recordings and other lablels most recently on “An Irish Almanac Of Noise & Experimental Music From 2025”on the NYAAH Label. Both artists also have successful independent careers as visual and sound artists.
