Colder temperatures can affect your body’s ability to fight off viruses and other infections. 🤒 😷 🤧

Here is some advice for keeping warm 🌡

-Dress in layers ⁠- a few light layers will keep you warmer than 1 heavy layer

-Wear thermal underwear

-Keep active indoors by walking around or try some indoor exercises

-Hot drinks can also help you keep warm ⁠- have them during the day and before bed

-Eat at least 1 hot meal a day to help you stay warm

-Check the weather forecast so you can be prepared for very cold weather

Cold temperatures can significantly impact the life and performance of defibrillator batteries. Freezing temperatures, can cause the electrode pad gel to freeze, rendering the pads unusable. Extreme cold can also damage the internal components of a defibrillator, leading to malfunctions or complete failure.
Please check the storage condition of you AEDs, whether in your car, unheated cabinet, dressing room or building. Check manufacturer's recommendations for more information.

One of our very own (EMT,CFR) - Tyrone aged 26 has being diagnosed with a medical illness and can only recieve the treatment his body needs in the UK.

Tyrone is an active member of Critical Macroom CFR Group with the biggest heart ❤️ and has a strong belief in giving back to his community by volunteering to help others, Now it's time we give back to him and his family please donate anything you can to help our friend 🧡
