BBQ Social Gathering – Thank You!

On behalf of the Cork Deaf Club Committee, we would like to thank everyone who attended our Cork Deaf Club BBQ Social Gathering at Crawford & Co. Pub today. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had a wonderful time together!

🇮🇪 On behalf of Cork Deaf Club, we would like to wish the very best of luck to our three Cork athletes!

From left to right in the picture:

🏊 Rebecca Whelan – Swimming
⚽ Caolan Breen – Futsal
⚽ Luke Street – Futsal

They will represent Ireland at the European Deaf Youth Games 2026 in Hannover, Germany, taking place from 18th to 22nd August 2026. 🇩🇪

The Irish team will compete in Futsal, Athletics, Badminton and Swimming.

⚽ Futsal fixtures:
🇳🇱 Ireland v Netherlands – Sunday at 5:00pm
🇺🇦 Ireland v Ukraine – Tuesday at 5:30pm

Wishing Rebecca, Caolan, Luke and the entire Irish team every success at the Games! 👏🇮🇪

📢 Save the Date!

Cork Deaf Club will host the Irish Deaf Society (IDS) Roadshow on Friday, 16th October 2026, with IDS staff member Damien Owens.

What is the Roadshow?

The IDS Roadshow is an opportunity for IDS to visit local Deaf communities around Ireland, meet with Deaf people, provide updates and information, and discuss general topics and issues that are important to the Deaf community.
