Our Story
The Cork Parents Support group is a volunteer group of parents of Children living with Type 1 Diabetes. We constantly require fundraising to support the activities that we run for children with Type 1. If you or anyone in your family is considering doing the Evening Echo ladies mini-marathon we would love if you would consider us as your chosen charity.
Our activities include running Support Groups for parents of children living with Type 1 Diabetes, Teen support groups for teens living with Type 1, and we also hold activities throughout the year, Teddy Bears Picnic, Oysterhaven Activity Day, Barretstown Weekend, Christmas Party's, Family Fun Days and Public Meetings. We hold a Teacher Training Day for teachers, sna’s and principals to help teach them about all aspects of looking after a child with Type 1 Diabetes in the Classroom. This is run with the support of the Paediatric Diabetes Team in the CUH. All these events cost money to run so we would welcome any financial support no matter how big or small. Every penny helps.
