Bishopstown Toastmasters celebrating our 700th meeting in the . A wonderful milestone for a club I started in January 09 with Michael O'Sullivan. It was my great pleasure to recognise the amazing work of Chaitrali Rai as our Toastmaster of the Year. A huge thank you to & for the excellent service and meal.

Saturday 17th May, Powdermills Toastmasters joined our sister club, Bishopstown Toastmasters, for our annual joint meeting, hosted this year by Bishopstown Toastmasters at Bishopstown Library.

The meeting featured a fantastic programme of speeches, evaluations and Table Topics, with members from both clubs taking on roles throughout the morning. The Word of the Day was “esoteric”, while speeches included Code Brown, No Walls, No Boundaries, No Escape and The Art of the Dill,How One Herb Can Make Ireland Great Again.

There was great energy and humour throughout the meeting, we always enjoy the friendly rivalry between our two clubs!Fittingly, John Keating and Ber O’Connor ended the meeting on that same light hearted note.
A special thank you to Bishopstown Toastmasters for their warm welcome, organisation and hospitality.

Not one, not two but three outstanding Icebreaker speakers this morning in Bishopstown Toastmasters, Sophie, Pat Mc and Mags. Their first speech and three inspiring speeches. A Toast to all three. Will you be next? We meet every Saturday morning 11am to 12.30pm in Bishopstown Library and you are very welcome to come as a guest, you will not be asked to speak, just sit back and watch fun.
