🎤 Meet Our Speaker: Dr. Agostino Bruno 🇮🇹

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Agostino Bruno to the National Lipoedema Conference 2026.

Dr. Bruno is Medical Manager in the Plastic Surgery Department at S. Eugenio Hospital in Rome and has extensive experience treating patients with lipoedema.

Did you know that lipoedema can also affect the abdomen?

Lipoedema is often associated with the legs and arms, but emerging research suggests that the condition can also present in the abdominal region.

The images in this post highlight findings from recent research and include an example of abdominal lipoedema tissue following surgery.

Greater awareness leads to better recognition, diagnosis, and support for those living with lipoedema.

On 29th August 2026, patients, healthcare professionals, therapists, researchers, and international experts will come together at the Cork International Hotel for a day dedicated to education, awareness, research, and support.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing the incredible speakers who will be joining us from Ireland and across Europe, sharing their expertise and the latest developments in lipoedema care.
