Today, we have a dream. A dream that every classroom, every workplace, every sports club and every home will have someone who knows CPR. A dream that when a heart suddenly stops, fear won’t be the first response — action will be.
At Donoughmore First Responders, we are part of a nationwide network of volunteer emergency responders, supported by the National Ambulance Service, providing immediate care in our local area. We respond to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrests, chest pain, choking and strokes — often arriving before an ambulance to give patients their best chance of survival.
But our mission doesn’t stop there. We are also here to make sure as many people in our community as possible receive life-saving training, so that when emergencies happen, help is never far away.
Our goal for 2026 is simple but powerful: to get as many people in our community CPR trained as possible. Because CPR isn’t just a skill — it’s hope. It’s the difference between waiting and doing. Between loss and survival.
If you or your group would like to learn CPR, contact Donoughmore First Responders and we’ll be happy to organise training for you. So let’s keep training. Let’s keep learning. Let’s keep building a heart-safe community.
