🌍 Our very own Michael Eustace takes Rotary to the other side of the world!

While cruising through the Pacific on a 93-day voyage, our member Michael Eustace and his wife Penny made a special stop in Adelaide, Australia 🇦🇺 — and what did Michael do? Found the local Rotary Club, of course! 💙
Michael joined the Rotary Club of Adelaide for their Thursday evening meeting, where he spoke about life in Ireland, our club's work here in Dublin Fingal, and the values that connect Rotarians everywhere. By all accounts it was a wonderful evening!

We're especially proud to share that a flag exchange took place between RC Dublin Fingal and RC Adelaide 🇮🇪🤝🇦🇺 — our flag now has a new home on the other side of the globe!

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Adelaide for welcoming Michael and Penny so warmly. This is exactly what makes Rotary so special — no matter where in the world you land, you're never far from family.

Safe sailing Michael and Penny — we look forward to hearing all about it when you're home! 🚢☘️

Cork Jazz Festival: Where a City Comes Alive 🎷✨

Just experienced the magic of the 46th Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, and I'm still buzzing! This isn't just a festival—it's a five-day celebration where the entire city of Cork transforms into one massive stage.

What makes this special? It's a festival that spans generations. You see families who've been coming since they were kids, now bringing their own grandchildren who dance through the streets with the same pure joy. That's 46 years of tradition, memory, and music woven into the fabric of this city.

From legends like Dizzy Gillespie to modern trailblazers, Cork Jazz has always pushed boundaries. This year's lineup didn't disappoint—swing, bebop, hip-hop-infused jazz, R&B, and everything in between. The grand finale with Nubya Garcia was absolutely electrifying! 🔥?

But here's the beauty: whether you caught a headliner at the Cork Opera House or stumbled upon a brass band marching down the street at midnight, the music was everywhere. Pop-up gigs, spontaneous collaborations, boat parties—over 100,000 of us descended on Cork, and the city embraced us all.

Cork Jazz is for the people, and the people showed up. Already counting down to next year! 🎺🎶

HALLOWEEN RECAP!

Throwback to last week and one of the best events this season: the Pumpkins After Dark at Newbridge House & Farm in Donabate, Dublin. It was a 1km outdoor gallery featuring over 10,000 hand-carved, illuminated foam pumpkins! 🤯

The scale and artistry were genuinely jaw-dropping (we saw fire-breathing dragons and pop culture icons). A highlight was the magical Irish folklore display, totally immersive with light and sound!

If you missed this cool, family-friendly spectacle this year, make sure to mark your calendars for a fun fellowship event next October.
