🚴‍♀️ A huge thank you to An Garda Síochána Mayo! 🚓💙

We're delighted to reshare this fantastic post from An Garda Síochána Mayo and to thank Community Garda John Monaghan for helping make our School Cycle Day such a memorable and educational experience.

The children learned valuable cycling safety tips, including the importance of wearing a helmet, being visible with high-vis clothing, and ensuring their bikes are safe and roadworthy before setting off.

The highlight of the day was a wonderful 5km cycle through the stunning grounds of Ashford Castle, enjoyed by all!

A sincere thank you also to Cunga Cycling Clubfor their support in helping ensure the event was safe and enjoyable for every student.

We really appreciate everyone who helped make the day such a success and for encouraging our children to stay safe while enjoying cycling this summer. 🚲☀️

🚛 A Big Thank You to the team at McGraths Limestone! 🚛

The team at McGraths Limestone Cong Ltd recently visited Cong National School and delivering an engaging and informative Road Safety Talk for the children.

The highlight of the day was getting the chance to climb into the truck cab, see the road from the driver's perspective, and learn first-hand about the importance of a driver's blind spots.

It was a fun, interactive and memorable experience that helped reinforce vital road safety messages and taught the children how to stay safe around large vehicles.

🚌Infants, 1st & 2nd Class School Tour to Turoe Pet Farm🐐

Our Infants, 1st and 2nd Class pupils had a fantastic day on their school tour to Turoe Pet Farm! From meeting and feeding the animals to enjoying the playgrounds and bouncing away on the bouncy castle, there was plenty of fun and excitement for everyone.

Most importantly, the children had a wonderful time making memories with their friends and enjoying a great day out together.

🌟 5th & 6th Class School Tour 2026 🌟

Our 5th and 6th Class pupils enjoyed an unforgettable day at Wildlands for their school tour. The students put their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test in the Celtic Challenge Rooms, working together to overcome a variety of puzzles and challenges.

The adventure continued on the Zip N Trek course, where pupils showed fantastic bravery, resilience and confidence as they navigated the obstacles and soared along the zip lines. It was great to see such encouragement, teamwork and support among classmates throughout the day.

Filled with fun, laughter and new experiences, the tour was a huge success and created wonderful memories that will last for years to come. 🌟🌳🧗‍♂️🎉

A huge thank you to the teachers and staff who organised such a memorable day out for the children. 👏
