🌟 5th & 6th Class School Tour 2026 🌟

Our 5th and 6th Class pupils enjoyed an unforgettable day at Wildlands for their school tour. The students put their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test in the Celtic Challenge Rooms, working together to overcome a variety of puzzles and challenges.

The adventure continued on the Zip N Trek course, where pupils showed fantastic bravery, resilience and confidence as they navigated the obstacles and soared along the zip lines. It was great to see such encouragement, teamwork and support among classmates throughout the day.

Filled with fun, laughter and new experiences, the tour was a huge success and created wonderful memories that will last for years to come. 🌟🌳🧗‍♂️🎉

🌟 3rd & 4th Class School Tour 2026 🌟

What an action-packed day our 3rd & 4th Class pupils enjoyed on their school tour to Wildlands last week! From exciting outdoor adventures to fun team challenges, there were smiles, laughter and plenty of unforgettable memories made throughout the day. 🌳🧗‍♀️🎯

School tours are a wonderful opportunity for children to build confidence, develop teamwork skills and enjoy new experiences with their classmates. Wildlands offers a range of adventure activities designed to encourage fun, teamwork and problem-solving.

Today marks a very special milestone as we celebrate the graduation of our wonderful 6th Class pupils. As they prepare to leave Cong National School and begin an exciting new chapter in secondary school, we wish them every success, happiness and opportunity for the future.

The Cong NS Parents Association would like to extend our sincere thanks to McGraths Limestone Cong Ltd for their generous sponsorship of 6 new iPads for our school.

This latest donation builds on the company’s previous contribution of 10 iPads, reflecting an ongoing commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of our children.

These iPads are an important part of the STEM curriculum, helping pupils to develop critical digital skills, creativity, and confidence in using technology as part of their learning in the classroom.

🚤👏 A Special Visit from the Corrib Mask Search & Rescue Team 👏🚤

The children of Cong National School were delighted to welcome members of the Corrib Mask Search & Rescue Team for a very informative and engaging visit.

Pupils had the opportunity to learn about the vital work carried out by this dedicated volunteer service, the importance of water safety, and how the team responds to emergencies on our local lakes. The visit was both educational and inspiring, giving children a greater appreciation for the volunteers who help keep our community safe. Corrib Mask Search & Rescue provides a year-round rescue service on Lough Corrib and Lough Mask in partnership with emergency services.

A huge thank you to the team for taking the time to visit our school and share their knowledge and experiences with our students. 💙

What an incredible week at Cong National School! 🎉

Our children embraced every challenge during Active Week and had a fantastic time taking part in Sports Day activities. From exciting races and fun games to teamwork, friendship and lots of laughter, it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves.
