Pulsating County Final bought neighbouring "SLNCR" clubs Owenmore Gaels GAA Club & Saint Michael’s GAA together for battle at HQ in the Sligo GAA Junior A decider.

St Michaels at one stage in 2nd half had a commanding 8 point lead, before being reeled back in injury time.

Special mention to St Michaels captain and keeper Kyle Davey who had an outstanding performance with five 2 point frees, stretched the length of the goal line to save a certain flag raiser and caught at least 3 balls destined for going over the black spot

PJ explaining to Aido that there are 290+ Level Crossings & Accommodation Crossings between Collooney & Claremorris ( on average 1 less than every 250 metres apart).

Aido was equally fascinated to learn that it's the continued existence of this astronomical number would result in severe line speed restrictions that make achieving modern desired speeds of 70mph nigh on impossible.

PJ had to break it gently to Aido that in order to reach anywhere near respectable rail speeds needed to favourably compete with a comparative journey by road, then the vast majority of families living along the line who benefit from these accommodation crossings would have their crossings closed.

Be like Aido, educate yourself to the facts, don't listen to the fiction
