Tiger Widows Organisation Tiger Widows Organisation works in the poorest communities in Sundarbans India. Tiger Widows Organisation raises funds in Ireland for self-help-groups in India.

Our partner organisation are Digambarpur Angikar. The funds are used for training women and girls in income generating projects such as organic farming, animal husbandry, needle-work and sewing, crafts etc. We make loans available to the women following the training so that they can start a business and earn an income. This helps those in poverty and leads to options for health and education. Bein

g able to earn an income means that they no longer go to the forest areas for food and firewood. Those who go to the forest are in danger of tiger attacks.
