Gardaí at Enfield are hoping to locate the owner of a cream and red coloured purse which contains money, which has kindly been handed in to Enfield Garda Station today.
The purse was found on Main Street, near Supervalu on Sunday afternoon last, July 26th.

12 New Gardaí for North Kildare 👮

I am very happy to share that 12 new Gardaí have been allocated to stations in the constituency following today's attestation ceremony in Templemore.

Nine will take up duty in Leixlip and three in Naas, part of an overall allocation of 19 probationer Gardaí to the Kildare/Carlow Division.

In total, 206 new Gardaí attested today.

Both Naas and Leixlip have grown significantly in recent years, and Garda presence on the ground is something people right across the constituency have consistently raised with me. This is a welcome strengthening of policing locally.

My congratulations to every one of the 206 new Gardaí who attested today, and my thanks to Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan and the Garda Commissioner for keeping recruitment moving at pace.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the the new recruits taking up duty in Naas and Leixlip every success in their new roles.

Collie dog pictured found in Dunfierth area close to cemetery this morning.

Yesterday evening, Enfield Gardaí stopped a youth on an Electric bike. Upon examination of this bike, it showed that it has a 2880w capacity and top speed of 96km/h both of which are in excess of the 250 watt and 25km/h legal limits for E-bikes.

E-bike was seized and the owner will have to apply for the District Court for its return.
